You can take a tour of what was once the Medieval city until its walls fell in the mid 19th century. Your best option is to start your sightseeing route in the Gothic quarter, where you can visit the Cathedral and the History Museum of the City. Next to it you will find the Plaça del Born (Born Square), where jousts and tournaments used to be held in the Middle Ages.
